An Introduction to Semantic Role Labeling
Abstract: Semantic Role Labeling is a text sentence analysis task in which a
computer has to identify what happened, who did it, who received the
action, which tool was used, when it happen, etc..Semantic Role
Labeling is a text sentence analysis task in which a computer has to
identify what happened, who did it, who received the action, which
tool was used, when it happen, etc.. SRL is used in many Natural
language applications such, information retrieval, text entailment,
machine translation, paraphrasing, text summarization and others. This
presentation will use the field of SRL to illustrate how tree kernels
can be used for text analysis.
About Dr. Hector France: Dr. Franco is a postdoctoral research with CeADAR at DIT. He
received his PhD from TCD in 2013, before incorporating to DIT he was
working as a data scientist for VHI healthcare.
