Current Research Staff and Students
Dympna O’Sullivan is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Computer Science at Technological University Dublin City Campus. She received a BSc and PhD in Computer Science from UCD in 2002 and 2006 respectively. She completed her post-doctoral work in Health Informatics with the MET research group at the University of Otttawa between 2006 and 2008. In 2008 she became a lecturer in Computer Science at Aston University in Birmingham. In 2012, she moved to City, University of London as a Senior Lecturer in Health Informatics. She also worked as a Senior Lecturer in Data Analytics at the National College of Ireland. Her research interests are in the area of Health Informatics, in particular in the design, development and evaluation of Decision Support Systems to support clinician and patient decision making. This work involves research across many aspects of the domain including electronic and personal health records, machine learning and intelligent algorithms, explainable AI, sensors and smart home technologies, accessible user interfaces and theories of health behaviour change.
