The Applied Intelligence Research Centre has a diverse team.
Na Li is a Ph.D. research student since 2019, Funded by SFI Centre for Research Training in Machine Learning (MLLabs). Her research is about situated dialogue with Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) and Human-Avatar Interaction (HAI) in Machine Learning. Na is interested in HRI/HAI with Machine Learning and collecting multimodal datasets (images, audio, sensor, etc.) to build a natural conversation between human and robot. Especially she started her Ph.D. journey by studying confusion detection in HAI. Na completed her Msc study at University College Dublin (UCD) (2018/2019). Before studying at UCD, she was a senior software engineer working in a global high-tech company in China. At last, Na welcomes everyone to participate in her HAI online experiment which is a wonderful interaction with an avatar.
