Ground subsidence affects properties, road and rail networks, buildings, etc. Geo surveying is one discipline involved in measuring and monitoring displacements in areas that might be affected by subsidence before, during and after construction. The self-funded research will focus on developing a non-intrusive methodology of early detection of subsidence in built up areas using Earth Observations Data and Machine Learning.
I have a BSc and MSc in Geospatial Surveying (Geodesy), a Higher Diploma in Computer Science and a Post Graduate Diploma in Third Level Learning and Teaching. I have 20 years’ experience in Engineering Surveying and since 2017 I am an AL in Geomatics at TU Dublin.
