Seminar Series: Using Dempster Shafer theory to detect situations from sensor data

On Tuesday 5th November, as part of the AIRC/School of Computing/DIT CeADAR research seminar series, Dr Susan McKeever presented an excellent talk on ubiquitous computing.

Title: Using Dempster Shafer theory to detect situations from sensor data

Abstract: Dempster Shafer theory of evidence is typically used for interpreting sensor data. In this talk, we explain how Dempster Shafer theory can be applied to the field of detecting situations from sensor data -such as detecting people’s activities in a sensored smart home environment.
